Greetings, Brothers ... Long Live Sinfonia!
Though a brother since 1971, this site and forum are new to me inasmuch as I didn't know it was here. Now that I do, I'll endeavor to entice some of my older brothers to indulge. I'm Melvin E. Hooper, Zeta Theta Chapter, Wagner College, Staten Island, NY. We've all endured pledging --- could I tell you some stories about how it was way back when! Phi Mu wanted my musical talents and abilities (which got me national scholarships and jam sessions with the likes of Herb Alpert, Dionne Warwick, Herbie Hancock), so I decided to have fun with it.

If you ask me, the chapter ended up exerted more effort than I did in getting me to brotherhood! Another story for another day over a cold beer.
I'm please to meet you all. Though my music has been reduced from cutting records and composing symphonies to simple piano playing in my own home for my wife's pleasure, I remain active as CEO of a chemical company in Eatontown, NJ, president of my own computer company "The Doctor Is In!" (we fix and teach computers), Financial Secretary of the Middletown United Methodist Church, and Chairman of the Communications Committee for the Greater NJ United Methodist Conference (getting 500+ churches internet access).
I can't say my life is boring, but I can say the day should be more than just 24 hours! It would be good to connect with brothers of today and learn how times have changed. Long live Sinfonia!
